SNOQUALMIE, WA, February 20, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dutch Dog Design's DoggyRide line of market-leading dog bike trailers, dog strollers, dog joggers and related products is proud to announce one of its newest products, the Cocoon dog bicycle basket and car seat. This allows for small dogs to safely join their owners on bike rides, walks about town, and road trip adventures. The Cocoon can even be used as a grocery basket during trips to the market.

DoggyRide prides itself on crafting products that have a dog's safety and ease of use first and foremost in mind.

The Cocoon includes an interior safety leash to clip to the dog's collar inside the basket as to not allow the dog to jump out of the basket and injure itself. The basket's durable nylon fabric and versatile nature are excellent for a dog owner on the go. With just a few simple modifications, the Cocoon can be used during most any daily outing. The Cocoon functions as a bicycle basket when clipped to a bike with a KLICKfix connector and is quickly and easily unclipped to be used as a pet carrier in conjunction with carrying strap. It also acts as a car seat when buckled into a car's front seat, or can be used as a booster seat when an extra leash set is looped around a car's headrest. It can even be used during rainy bike rides as the mesh dome cover will incorporate the rain cover.

Owner and designer, Matthys van Leeuwen explains his desire for creating a new item for smaller dogs, "Although we have been pioneering and leading the market in dog bike trailers we felt the need to add a bicycle basket in order to complete our offering for the 'biking with your dog' category. The consumer value of this product is in the easy switch from bike basket to carrier and the option to use it as a car booster seat, which makes the product stand out among other bicycle baskets."

Dutch Dog Design was founded by Matthys van Leeuwen in 2003, inspired by his love for biking and exercising with his dog. The company has been developing market leading DoggyRide dog bike trailers, dog strollers and dog joggers. DoggyRide's success has led to the birth of the DoggySnooze elevated dog furniture line and Dutch Dog Amsterdam line of eco-friendly dog collars and dog leashes. With sales offices in the Netherlands and United States, products are sold through distributors and retailers in eighteen different countries across the globe. DoggyRide and DoggySnooze are registered trademarks of Dutch Dog Design LLC. More information is available online at www.doggyride.com.
