WASHINGTON, DC, February 06, 2010
/24-7PressRelease/ -- The first of a year-long series of national teleconferences to win federal contracts was held on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. The teleconference was hosted by the National Alliance of African American Chambers (NAAAC) & TargetGov and was open to all entrepreneurs nationwide.
"I think the format and duration are perfect." says Alika Kuma, Director, Arizona Minority Business Enterprise Center, "The information was excellent and a must-have tool for anyone wanting to sell to the government. The potential for phenomenal return-on-investment in these sessions is outstanding!"
Clayton Hammond, Chairman of the NAAAC says, "The quality of the initial teleconference validated the need for this resource, as the questions participants posed were enlightening! As participants were from around the country, it was great to discern the value of the conference."
The teleconference series is designed to help companies understand how to do business with the world's Fortune One customer - the United States government. Businesses that learn the processes involved in government contracting, become familiar with the various federal resources and programs available to help them get started, and determine how to best focus their efforts position themselves for great success. Teleconference participants also have an opportunity to hear from industry experts and to ask specific questions if needed.
All teleconferences will be held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 10:00 am PST, 11:00 am MST, noon CST and 1:00 pm EST. Participants will not only hear the expert speakers, but will also receive an exclusive Toolkit created specifically for each individual teleconference. These Toolkits are e-books that are packed with information, contacts and other valuable resources.
Gloria Berthold Larkin, President of TargetGov, will be the expert speaker for all of these teleconferences. She will also be joined by other industry leaders and government contracting experts. Ms. Larkin is the President of TargetGov and the national Procurement Committee Co-Chair for Women Impacting Public Policy. She is an expert at government procurement and related business development and marketing services including minority certification services, contract development, GSA Schedules, proposal management and development, contract administration and federal contracting services.
