/24-7PressRelease/ -- The margin of the 64-bit systems in the market is growing and along grows demand for supported software. Microsoft reports that 64-bit operating systems account for 20% of the new ones purchased. Furthermore, most of the modern computers are 64-bit capable creating a possibility for migration. On the user side, there is a demand for systems with powerful processors and lots of memory in order to carry out performance intensive tasks like graphics editing, movie editing or audio conversion more efficiently.
Speaking of audio specifically, today users possess huge music libraries that often need to be converted or unprotected in order to transfer them to mobile devices. The SoundTaxi team released a new 64-bit version of the program in order to better perform at these tasks. Now it converts faster while handling multiple conversions and huge library conversions equally well. It was calculated that on average 64-bit software is 15% faster than its 32-bit versions.
The 64-bit platform might eventually become the standard, since its adoption rate tripled in the last year only. Besides performing faster it also gives users an opportunity to utilize more memory which improves multi tasking. Most major software manufacturers have already released 64-bit version of their software or at least plan to do so in the near future.
All power users should seriously consider moving to this new modern platform.
