OSCAR TORRE TO STAR IN LION'S GATE FILM "Movidas"



    /24-7PressRelease/ - LOS ANGELES, CA, August 19, 2006 - Oscar Torre has nabbed the lead role opposite Spanish film and television stars Fernando Colunga, Miguel Varoni, Jojo Henrickson and Saul Lisazo in the Lion's Gate heist film "Movidas." Joe Menendez is directing the Jim McNamara project. Lensing is scheduled to commence in Los Angeles in late August.

Oscar Torre is quickly positioning himself as one of Hollywood's most versatile actors, amassing a collective body of work that encompasses theatre and independent films. He first garnered attention with the lead role in the film "Libertad," playing an artist in Cuba who is unjustly sentenced to 15 years in prison and later escapes on a raft.
