Our 2005 "Road to the Mid-Atlantic Music Conference" live music performance series included more than 200 live performances in 15 cities as we searched for the best talent the market had to offer to showcase at the conference. In 2006, the series began in February with Atlantic Records Hip Hop Summit, held on the beautiful campus of North Carolina Central University located in Durham, North Carolina. The next stop on the road was Charlotte in March for the 1st Southeast Community Music Fest where R&B Grammy Nominated Artist, Anthony Hamilton, a Charlotte native received the Achievement of the Year Award.
The goal of this live performance series is to find the best artist and bands in the mid-atlantic market and showcase that talent to the music industry. Upcoming on the "2006 Road to the Mid-Atlantic Music Conference" are events in Atlanta, GA, with Virgin Records on August 27th, Charlotte NC, August,12th and 13th, Raleigh, NC August 20th and Memphis, TN on August 29th.and Greenville, SC in September, date - TBA.
