As sales manager, Munos will be responsible for growing The Plaza Group's aromatics and oxygenated solvents business. Munos brings more than 35 years of experience in the petrochemical industry to The Plaza Group. Most recently, he served as an account representative at ExxonMobil Chemical, where he was responsible for domestic and international sales and supply for all solvent and fluid based products. Munos' areas of expertise include: isopropyl alcohol, methyl ethyl ketone, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon solvents, plasticizers, higher alcohols and neo acids.
Randy Velarde, The Plaza Group president, said the addition of Munos will support The Plaza Group's continued growth in new petrochemical markets. Munos is the president of the Houston Chemical Association and has been a high school and college football official for 31 years.
He obtained his bachelor of science at the University of Houston. Munos currently resides with his wife Martha in Houston.
