ATLANTA, GA, July 15, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Professional Athlete Franchise Initiative (PAFI), a strategic initiative of the International Franchise Association, the bridge that connects the professional athlete community to the franchise industry through education, research and interaction is gearing up to host its Fifth Annual Franchise Summit slated to take place July 12 through July 15.
The summit, which will be held at Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business in Atlanta, is designed to introduce professional athletes to the basic architecture of the franchise industry and business model. During the four day summit, there will be various workshops designed to teach professional athletes, wealth managers, financial advisors and sports agents about the franchise industry, including in-store operational tours, interactive learning and team-building sessions and a franchise expo, which provides athletes with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with franchisors.
The 5th annual franchise summit is powered by TITLE Boxing Club and they will play the leading role in the conference by hosting the welcome reception, participating in the franchise expo, and presenting an educational workshop to all attendees on how to launch and leverage your brand.
"As the prime sponsor and Diamond Ambassador of PAFI, we believe in their mission of connecting professional athletes to the franchise industry through education, research, and interaction," said John Rotche, president of TITLE Boxing Club. "The Annual Franchise Summit is the culmination of ongoing efforts to provide resources for active and retired athletes to find prosperous second careers in franchising. We are proud to support the Summit as the lead sponsor."
The summit is also a great opportunity for professional athletes to learn about the organization's new Certified Athlete Franchisee Mentorship Program, which was built to give the participating athletes support and mentorship from a successful multi-unit franchisee mentor. The C.A.F. Program educates athletes through four core elements: Education, Discovery, Mentorship and Apprenticeship. Candidates will also participate in exclusive Franchisor Discovery Days and In-store Operation visits for a hands-on experience. Finally, participants will also be paired with mentors and have a chance to gain experience as an apprentice in a franchise system.
"The curriculum, which is crafted by the best and brightest in the franchise industry, is aimed at guiding attendees through the ins and outs of franchising," said Michael Stone, founder and executive director of PAFI. "Our yearly summit is an opportunity for professional athletes, wealth managers, financial advisors and sports agents to learn about how to build relationships and position athletes for second career success in the trillion dollar franchise industry."
