"My goal from the beginning was to create one of the most charitable rivalry run series in the nation," said Jimmy Addison, an Oregon native and founder and event director of the Rivalry Clash Race Series . "It all started with my passion for competitive running while growing up and watching Oregon's largest football programs compete against each other in the annual Civil War game."

"I remember qualifying for the first ever Nike BorderClash race as a high schooler, held at the Nike Headquarters in Beaverton, OR beginning in 1999. I was so inspired by what John Truax and other Nike staff were doing by bringing together the fastest high school runners from Oregon and Washington for this annual rivalry race," said Addison. "Around the same time, I had also been building passion as a fan for the growing University of Oregon and Oregon State University football rivalry. I was poised to bring my two passions of rivalry runs and football together for a good cause. Now I have that opportunity to blend those passions and produce an event that celebrates multiple states' largest rivalries where fans are the centerpiece."

Join Oregon's largest rivalry in an epic battle of fun, fitness, and fan pride. Where school colors. A sea of orange and green runners and fans will start from opposing starting areas then merge and "clash" at the start line. You don't need to be a fan of either team. All fans are welcome to represent their favorite teams and schools. Also, watch for the race to head to Los Angeles on December 7, and for the Rivalry Clash Race Series to expand to Texas and Arizona markets in 2015.
