Jim Stout continues to add key back saving features to his SK500 BackSaver Commercial Auger.
ONTARIO, OR - 31 January 2007 - StoutKart, LLC announced today that it's SK500 BackSaver Commercial Auger will incorporate a new patent pending "Lift Assist Mechanism", a.k.a. LAM. "The LAM will effectively reduce the head weight of the auger from 80+ pounds to less than 30", stated Jim Stout, President. "It has been one of our Company goals, to make products that are not only easy for a one person to use, but also help reduce the potential risk of back injury".
During several product field tests, the landscapers and fence builders commented on how easy and powerful the SK500 BackSaver Augers were, but after digging 50+ holes... lifting the auger head (14" bit and lots of dirt) from the newly formed hole... was very tiring. So after reviewing many hours of tape footage, Jim had another great idea... let's embed a spring in the tower to help offset the weight of the head! The LAM was born.
"The feedback that we have received from our users have given us high marks on the ease of loading / unloading our products onto their service vehicles... and the LAM is yet another example of taking customer feedback and developing these ideas into true product enhancements, said Olen Whitson VP of Sales and Marketing.
