/24-7PressRelease/ -- At age 15 Willy Amrod's band, Brand X, was one of the first signings by Seymour Stein to Sire Records. Brand X was the support act for Janus Joplin. He went on to play bass with Rick Danko and has appeared with The J Giles Band, Roomful of Blues, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, The Band, The Beaver Brown Band, and NRBQ. His best known album, the timeless, "Children of The Earth", features The JB Horns.
Willy Amrod will bring his band to the Warehouse, in Hartford, CT, Wednesday, April 8; and Boston's, Johnny D's, Thursday, April 9, to Support Fred Wesley & The New JB's.
These shows are not to be missed as anytime Willy and Fred Wesley combine their respective musical talents - historic shows happen.
Wesley is in the midst of a world tour promoting his new release, "Let It Flow - Fred Wesley's Tribute To James Brown", and a reissue of his infamous 1980 LP, "House Party". The first single from "Let It Flow" is "Psycho Path" a collaboration of Wesley and Public Enemy's Chuck D.
