    NEWARK, DE, July 27, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Thea Eckman, Staff Development Specialist for Christiana Care Health System, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of healthcare administration.

Ms. Eckman has eight years of healthcare experience and is considered an expert in staff development. She lends her talents to Christiana Care, a health system that specializes in staff development and education in a variety of healthcare fields. As staff development specialist, she is responsible for facilitating staff development and orientations, and training a cardiac intensive care and step-down unit. Ms. Eckman previously worked as a bedside nurse in the cardiac intensive care unit for three years, and considers attaining her current position in 2005 to be the highlight of her career so far. She attributes her success to her love for her profession and conviction that she has found her true calling.

Enrolled at Wilmington University, Ms. Eckman is pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007 from Westchester University and became a Registered Nurse in 2001 through Delaware Technical & Community College. She is also a Critical Care Registered Nurse. She is a member of the Association of Critical-Care Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau and the National Nursing Staff Development Organization.
