This Saturday, May 4 at 6PM: The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia Lifetime Achievement Award Gala Honoring Grammy & Academy Award-Winning Songwriters Hall of Fame Inductee Burt Bacharach

The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia presents its 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award Gala honoring one of the most-awarded and successful composers for six decades, Burt Bacharach.



    PHILADELPHIA, PA, May 01, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- WHAT: The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, a founding resident company of The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, presents its 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award Gala honoring one of the most-awarded and successful composers for six decades, Burt Bacharach. This black tie event will begin with a mini concert, featuring cellist Adrian Daurov, pianist Hanchien Lee, the Tom Adams Trio, and the Chamber Orchestra string section led by Music Director Dirk Brosse, followed by the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. Bacharach. Afterwards is cocktail hour with live music, followed by a three-course sit-down dinner and live auction. The evening concludes with dancing to the Sid Miller Dance Band and open bar. The event is generously supported by Gala Chairs Dr. Richard G. Pestell and Mrs. Nataliia Pestell.

WHO: Gala honoree Burt Bacharach, Gala Chairs Dr. Richard G. Pestell and Mrs. Nataliia Pestell, and City of Philadelphia Chief Cultural Officer Gary P. Steuer. The private concert features Adrian Daurov, Hanchien Lee, the Tom Adams Trio, and the Chamber Orchestra String Section led by Music Director Dirk Brosse. Live musical entertainment provided by the Sid Miller Dance Band.
