Despite trappings of the modern world like mobile phones and computers, the drama retains key elements of Arthur Conan Doyle's original stories, including Inspector Lestrade and arch nemesis Professor Moriarty. 'He is in a world of forensic science, but I think people will still recognise him as being Sherlock Holmes despite him not having the deerstalker hat and pipe,' says Benedict Cumberbatch.
