LONDON, ENGLAND, January 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The new series picks up with Abby (Julie Graham) being carted off by helicopter to a sinister lab where the scientists are working on a vaccine against the virus that has decimated humanity. Since Abby has survived the virus, she is subjected to several unpleasant procedures.
'There were a lot of very enthusiastic extras who didn't know the difference between really holding someone down and pretending to do it,' recalls Julie. 'I was covered in bruises and when I went home my husband said, "What are these?" '

Meanwhile, there's a ruthless new man in Lark Rise To Candleford, while Dervla Kirwan stars in bitchy fashion drama Material Girl. Wild At Heart is back after Danny and Alice admitted their feelings for each other last series, and there are six more cases to crack as Law & Order: UK begins its second series.

Comic Paul Merton discovers the weird and wonderful side of our European neighbours in Paul Merton In Europe, and fellow comedian Adam Buxton is an ad man in the new sitcom The Persuasionists. There's also plenty more spooky drama as the werewolf, vampire and ghost team of Being Human returns.

In the soaps, Jean realises that Bradley can't be the father of Stacey's baby in EastEnders, and Molly tells Kevin she's leaving Tyrone just as Sally prepares for her cancer operation in Coronation Street. In Emmerdale, Mark is attacked and left for dead, and Josh reveals Hayley is pregnant in Hollyoaks. Jimmi's ordeal at the hands of Sissy and Ivor continues in Doctors. In Neighbours, there's a shock proposal for Elle, and Miles winds up in hospital and suspended from his job in Home And Away.

There is also a fabulous week-long break for two in sun-drenched Sardinia to be won in this week's TV Choice competition.
