THIS YEAR'S HOLLYWOOD SANTA PARADE HAS GONE TO THE DOGS! Celebrity Dogs From Le Paws Agency Join Mary J. Blige, the cast of Disney's High School Musical, and the America Idol Finalist Elliott Yasmin in This Hollywood Tradition... The Hollywood Santa Parade!

The Dogs are Walking for Kids With a Donation to The Children's Hospice and Palliative Care Coalition

/24-7PressRelease/ - HOLLYWOOD, CA, October 27, 2007 - The Hollywood Santa Parade is going to the dogs! Sponsors are invited to join a unique marketing opportunity with a "Walking Billboard" of dogs to benefit Children's Hospice and Palliative Care Coalition. This Hollywood tradition, taking place on Saturday, November 25, 2007 at 5:00pm, will honor the pageantry and festive spirit of its predecessor, the Hollywood Christmas Parade. The Parade Demographics include more than 500 thousand people lining Hollywood Boulevard, most families with children. Companies already committed to the Parade include Wells Fargo, Fairplex and Natural Balance. Celebrities who will participate in this year's parade include Mary J. Blige, the cast of Disney's High School Musical, and American Idol finalist Elliott Yamin.

Along with the celebrities and of course, Santa himself, 30+ large Hollywood trained dogs from the Le Paws Agency will be walking the parade route down Hollywood Boulevard. They will be wearing red velvet Santa capes with the company names of sponsors embroidered in gold lettering on each cape. An antique car, hosted by one of the super sponsors and a celebrity guest will lead the dogs in the parade draped with the logos of all sponsors

"I am so excited to be part of this longstanding Hollywood tradition," said Le Paws owner Michelle Zahn. "Our dogs can be seen in movies, TV shows and modeling in ads. But the Hollywood Santa Parade is going to be one of the highlights for the dogs and their handlers this year since a portion of the proceeds will go to help children in need."

"Santa's parade down our famed boulevard has always been a favorite of mine. After they're done with Thanksgiving turkey, I want everyone in Los Angeles to bring their families to Hollywood to kick off the holiday season," said Council President Eric Garcetti, whose district includes parts of Hollywood.

"We're excited to see that wonderful Hollywood holiday tradition continues," said Councilmember Tom LaBonge. "This is a great occasion to bring family and friends together as we mark the start of the Christmas season."

Earlier this year, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that it would no longer produce the annual Hollywood Christmas Parade. Councilmembers Garcetti and LaBonge quickly worked to ensure the parade -- now in its 76th year - could continue. Hollywood's Santa Parade LLC has been contracted by the City of Los Angeles to produce the event.
A portion of the proceeds from the "Walking Billboard" featuring celebrity dogs will be donated to a local children's charity. For more information about this exciting marketing/public relations opportunity, contact Alpha Dog PR at 818-998-6299.
The parade is free and open to the public. Grandstand seats will be available for purchase at $35 by calling 1-866-PARADE1. Spectators are strongly encouraged to GoMetro to Hollywood and Highland.
