With more than three decades of professional experience, Mr. Barrett is a seasoned real estate developer and builder with expertise in high rise commercial and residential properties. Throughout his career, he has proven his ability to build and lead high performance teams on billion-dollar capital projects. Mr. Barrett brings his experience and skills to the role of CEO of Barrett Builders LLC, a trusted real estate development and project management services company. Mr. Barrett developed a love for the built environment at a very young age. While growing up in upstate NY with his 5 sisters and brother, he devised a plan that allowed his parents to turn their modest home into a three bedroom house with very little capital. To this day he lovingly reminds his widowed mom of that fact and credits his parents with most of his values that have lead to his success. In 1986, he earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Boston Architectural College. He considers the highlight of his professional career to be serving as Vice President in the Corporate Real Estate Group for Goldman Sachs. Durring his 8 year tenure, he was in charge of the development, design and construction of 30 Hudson St, the tallest building in the state of New Jersey: a 2.2 million square foot 42-story tower along the Hudson River. The building is now a world class, billion-dollar mixed use facility for one of the foremost financial services firm in the world. Mr. Barrett also received an award for releasing construction crews at the Goldman Sachs Tower in New Jersey, as well as an award from the Jersey City PD/FD for leading a recovery effort at Ground Zero in New York City following the events of September 11, 2001.

Mr. Barrett is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. Looking toward the future, he aims to experience continued professional growth and double the size of his company every three years.
