Thomas J. Sakal Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Insurance

    WEST PALM BEACH, FL, February 28, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas Sakal, Retired President and Chief Executive Officer of Prudential Life Thailand, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in his career.

Though Mr. Sakal finds retirement enjoyable, he finds himself wanting to return to work since ending his career. He maintains many contacts and close friends from his 25 years in the insurance industry and aims to pursue consulting opportunities in the years to come. During the course of his insurance career, he served as Vice President of Agency Distribution and Strategic Planning for the North Asia/South Pacific Region of AIA/AIG Hong Kong. In his most recent post, he was the president and chief executive officer of Prudential Life Thailand, a role which entailed overseeing operations for the entire company in Thailand. Mr. Sakal held numerous Sales/Sales Management positions both in the United States as well as internationally for his work in the insurance industry. His areas of expertise include Agency Distribution Channels and Bank Assurance.

A veteran of the Vietnam War and former professional athlete, Mr. Sakal is no stranger to hard work and dedication; he has always possessed a willingness to expand his horizons and take risks. As a college student at the University of Minnesota, he earned several awards and distinctions as a football player. He was captain of the 1967 Championship Team and went on to play professionally with the Minnesota Vikings for the 1968 season. From 1969 to 1970, he proudly served in the Ninth Infantry Division in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Sakal holds a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Minnesota and is three credits shy of a master's degree in education from the same institution. Looking toward the future, he hopes to put his educational background and professional experience to good use by sharing his knowledge and expertise with others as a consultant. He also plans to continue networking with others.
