Thomas Wilson Recognized by Marquis Who's Who for Excellence in Antitrust Law

    BALTIMORE, MD, October 12, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas Wilson has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Utilizing commendable professional drive, Mr. Wilson earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University in 1958 and a JD from the University of Maryland in 1971. Following these accomplishments, he earned bar certification from the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in 1972 and the Supreme Court of the United States in 1977. After working as sales manager for Mideastern Box Manufacturing Company from 1966 to 1974, Mr. Wilson shifted professional gears and served as Assistant Attorney General and Chief, Antitrust Division State of Maryland. He went on to become a partner of Tydings & Rosenberg, LLP in 1979, and became Counsel to the same in 2012. He remains in this position to the present day.

Mr. Wilson has authored several works, including "Defending an Antitrust Action Brought by a State Attorney General," "The Spectre of Double Recovery in Antitrust Federalism" and "An Unintended Consequence of Leegin," and co-authored "Reciprocity and the Private Plantiff" and "Intentional Grounding of an Implied Antitrust Exemption." He was a member of the editorial advisory board of the Bureau of National Affairs Antitrust and Trade Regulation Report from 1979 to 2016. Due to his professional longevity and perseverance, Mr. Wilson was listed in the 23rd edition of the Best Lawyers in America, named one of the Best Lawyers in Baltimore in Antitrust Law and Government Relations practice in litigation, and rated by Martindale-Hubbell and Super Lawyers. Boasting a multifaceted professional skill set, he has also developed several patents for nail cartons.

Notable bar associations for which Mr. Wilson has been a fellow include the Maryland State Bar Association, the International Bar Association and the American Bar Foundation, where he participated in sections on antitrust law. In addition, Mr. Wilson belongs to the Churchwarden's Chess Club, the Annapolis Yacht Club and the Metropolitan Club of the City of Washington. He has been listed in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in the East and Who's Who in the World.
