/24-7PressRelease/ -- Shameless Plug Promotions today announced a one-night only Goodie Mob reunion performance at the Masquerade in Atlanta on Saturday September 19, 2009. Doors open at 7:00 pm. Tickets go on sale Saturday, August 1st through Ticketmaster.
"The Goodie Mob Reunion is something we have collectively talked about doing for a long time. The people have called for it, and with the state of the union the way it is, the time is right," said Cee-Lo Green.
The highly anticipated show is expected to be the highlight of the hip hop community's concert events this year and will feature other members of the Dungeon family.
"This show means a lot to the people of Atlanta," said Jabari Graham, one-fourth of the do-no-wrong new events group, Shameless Plug Promotions. "I grew up in Atlanta back when Dungeon and La Face were doing their thing. We knew this reunion show has been in the works for years, so to be a part of making this concert happen is just remarkable for us. For so long, Atlanta has been labeled as swag or crunk, so a lot of acts may feel they shouldn't make a stop here. We know ATL is more than that and we're out to prove it."
Shameless Plug Promotions, has already made a name for itself by bringing some of the hottest acts to the city in the most talked about shows, including Devin the Dude to ATL and the successful Drake concert at the Loft that sold out in 5 hours off Facebook and Twitter. Local celebrities Jermaine Dupri, Trey Songz and Usher turned out for the concert, with Songz and Usher giving impromptu performances.
About Goodie Mob
Goodie Mob is a hip hop act based in Atlanta. Members Cee-Lo (Thomas Callaway) Khujo (Willie Knighton, Jr.), T-Mo Goodie (Robert Barnett) and Big Gipp (Cameron Gipp) founded the group in 1995. Its members were all born in Atlanta and the group was part of the original Dungeon Family, a collective which includes OutKast and P.A. Cee-Lo is now recording in collaboration with DJ Danger Mouse and Gnarls Barkley. Big Gipp has collaborated with several other Dungeon Family members and T-Mo and Khjo are a part of The Lumberjacks.
