Timothy Y. Willborn Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Oil and Gas Exploration and Production

Timothy Willborn concentrates on ensuring operational growth while maintaining compliance with federal and state agencies



    HOUSTON, TX, April 18, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Timothy Y. Willborn, operations manager with Apex FCC Oilfield Services, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who as a 2012 Professional of the Year for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in operations management within the energy sector.

With 23 years of professional experience under his belt, Mr. Willborn first worked as a "roughneck" during the summers while in college and began his career after graduation; he earned a Bachelor of Science in 1993 from Texas State University, San Marcos. When he first entered the workforce, he served as a drilling fluids engineer both onshore and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico region. He then worked as a third-party contractor at ARCO/Vastar Resources and BP in Houston, Texas. He performed a few sales functions and worked in the environmental waste management sector of the industry.

As his career progressed, he was employed by the Dual Drilling Company, Baroid Fluid Services, Halliburton Energy Services, Superior Energy Services and CCS Energy Services. Eventually, Mr. Willborn worked as the fluids and logistics manager for AGR Turnkey Drilling Company in Houston, Texas. This was the last position he held before joining Apex FCC Oilfield Services as an operations manager, the role he currently holds.

For the last three years, Mr. Willborn has been working directly with the general manager of Apex FCC Oilfield Services, Todd Ford. He employs an expertise in operations management while maintaining P&L responsibilities, company growth and expansion into the resource shale regions, employing water and oil recycling technologies in the resource shale regions, materials and transportation, as well as regulatory compliance. He ensures that operations are aligned with standards set by the Minerals Management Service, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, USCG and the various state agencies. Mr. Willborn also calculates offshore and onshore logistics, and manages vendor systems, products and capabilities regarding E&P waste treatment, disposal and recycling.

Mr. Willborn was featured in the premier edition of Pro-Files Magazine, and feels that his commitment and hard work have helped him reach success in his career. He remains involved in the professional community through membership to the American Association of Drilling Engineers and Society of Petroleum Engineers.
