Company to Exhibit at U.S. Psychiatric and Mental Health Congress Conference & Exhibition in San Diego, CA, this month; Booth #832

In our practice, we have seen incredible results in treatment-resistant patients with severe depression. We are excited to now launch TMS Health Education, the only in-person West Coast TMS courses.

SACRAMENTO, CA, September 10, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- TMS Health Education, an affiliate of TMS Health Solutions, today announced its professional education series on Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), an innovative and effective non-invasive treatment for patients with severe depression. Starting this fall, the group will offer courses on the treatment processes and benefits of TMS therapy to physicians and healthcare providers. An "Introduction to TMS Therapy" class will launch October 9 and be offered twice monthly. The first "Advanced Hands-On TMS Symposium" takes place in March 2016 and will train physicians to administer TMS therapy themselves.

"We felt it was important to offer physicians around the country the opportunity to learn about the remarkable advantages of TMS therapy," said Karl Lanocha, M.D. and director of education at TMS Health Solutions. "In our practice, we have seen incredible results in treatment-resistant patients with severe depression. We are excited to now launch TMS Health Education, which offers the only in-person TMS courses on the west coast, to educate mental health practitioners and bring relief to patients."

TMS therapy is a drug-free, non-invasive treatment administered in a physician's office. By using an MRI-strength magnetic field to stimulate the frontal cortex area of the brain, the core symptoms of major depression can be painlessly alleviated. Unlike anti-depressants or Electroconvulsive Therapy, patients undergoing TMS therapy experience minimal side effects. A course of treatment is typically four to six weeks of daily 45-minute sessions. Clinical studies have shown that TMS is effective in about 60 percent of patients, twice as effective as antidepressants.

TMS Therapy Courses
TMS Health Education courses are developed and taught by leading clinicians and researchers. Dr. Lanocha is a neuropsychiatrist who specializes in treatment-resistant depression, with over 25 years' experience in neuromodulation and brain stimulation therapy. He is the chairperson and planner for TMS Health Education courses, has overseen the development of all session materials and discussion topics, and also teaches classes. Dr. Richard Bermudes, also serves as a class instructor and advisor, is an M.D. and medical director at TMS Health Solutions, as well as president of the Clinical TMS Society.

Both classes will be conducted live, and will be available online anytime in video format. The courses offer fully-accredited AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Introduction to TMS Therapy
This course was developed for physicians who want to become familiar with TMS therapy and refer patients to a TMS treatment center. Held at one of TMS Health Solutions' medical practice offices in Sacramento or El Dorado Hills, Calif., the class is taught by either Dr. Lanocha or Dr. Bermudes.
