/24-7PressRelease/ - PORTLAND, OR, September 19, 2008 - Frank Sinatra gets a special tribute from local entertainer and nightclub owner Tony Starlight when Oktoberfest is rechristened as "Sinatra Fest" at Tony Starlight's Supperclub & Lounge. From September 30 to October 11, Tony Starlight's Supperclub & Lounge will be celebrating its inaugural Sinatra Fest with numerous events and performances highlighting the six-decade long career of Frank Sinatra.

The festival begins September 30th with a Vintage Fashion Show, highlighting the fashions associated with the many loves of Mr. Sinatra. Next is the official kickoff event on October 1, a listeners' party where Tony will play his favorite Sinatra cuts from his collection of over 1,200 recordings, while live performance footage and slides of Mr. Sinatra are projected on the walls.

"Sinatra Fest was created to pay homage to the most enduring and celebrated popular male vocalist of all-time," said Starlight.

Great local vocalists like Mike Winkle, Todd Gang, Barbara Ayars and Tony Starlight will be celebrating Ol' Blue Eyes through special vocal showcases, live big band karaoke (where YOU can sing with a real live big band!), and dancing, with Tony Starlight personally holding a Salute to Sinatra with two distinct shows. The Friday night shows, October 3rd & 10th, will salute the swinging big band sound; and Saturday nights, October 4th & 11th, will showcase the incredible collection of songs Sinatra popularized.

Tony Starlight said, "Frank Sinatra is an icon. For over sixty years, he maintained a popular musical career, and for twenty or more of those years he practically defined American music. A multi-Grammy award winner and an Academy award winner, he embodied a larger-than-life talent as a singer, an actor and as an entertainment mogul. I'm thrilled to be able to have this forum to pay tribute to his art."

Tony Starlight's Supperclub & Lounge is a very popular destination at the gateway to Portland's historic Hollywood district. Dinner reservations are highly recommended to ensure priority seating. For more information, call 503-517-8584. Tony Starlight's Supperclub & Lounge is located at 3728 NE Sandy Blvd Portland, OR 97232.
