MIAMI, FL, April 02, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Top Class family joined ONEMiami, a Leadership team of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, in their 1st Annual Alvah H. Chapman, Jr. Memorial Donation Drive. The event was held at the Community Partnership for Homeless in Downtown, Miami.

The event was a donation drive where you could bring anything used or new such as toys, clothes, kitchen essentials, even furniture to be donated to CPH for their program. The event was successful with many sponsors such as Top Class Designs and Marketing who donated marketing goods and apparel, Perry Ellis who donated men clothing, Burger King, Extreme Watts who donated electrical supplies, and many more.

ONEMiami is a group of young professionals who are committed to improving the future of Miami-Dade County and the lives of those who reside here. Their mission is dedicated to assisting residents of Miami-Dade County in need continuing the good work of the founding Chairman of Community Partnership for Homeless (CPH), Alvah H. Chapman, Jr. Mr. Chapman's interest in the quality of life of Miami-Dade County's citizens led to his involvement in many good causes.

Along with ONEMiami and the others who joined the cause we took a tour of the CPH building. The experience was one a kind and made us feel very grateful for everything we have in our lives. The work that CPH does is amazing! We have this idea of a homeless person being a "bum" in the corner littering our community but this experience made us realize how closed minded society has made us. These people were just like us, clean, shaved, educated, they just happened to have lost their homes and jobs. CHP helps them get continue their education, find jobs, and better themselves. They operate only off of contributions so if you have the budget for donations or just want to help out this is a great place to start. Remember, every little bit counts! Visit http://www.cphi.org for more information on donations and events.
