/24-7PressRelease/ -- Torrey Hills Technologies, LLC today announced that the company has received a purchase order for its HSH Infrared Fast Fire Furnace from IBM Corporation, the largest information technology company in the world. The furnace will be used in the solar cell metallization process.
"We are very pleased to receive this furnace order from IBM. IBM has strict criteria in selecting suppliers; we meet all of them," said Ken Kuang, President of Torrey Hills Technologies. "This order means a lot to us. I believe that our expertise in solar technology, dedicated service, high quality standards, and competitive price were key factors in being selected by IBM."
Torrey Hills offers solar cell drying and firing equipment for silicon, thin film, and 3rd generation dye sensitized photovoltaics. Over the last few years, its furnace business has grown rapidly. In a separate press release issued earlier this month, the company announced that its manufacturing facility received a follow-on order of 32 furnaces from an existing customer; it is the largest single furnace order in history.
