/24-7PressRelease/ -- In the aftermath of the "Great East Japan Earthquake" on March 11 which affected various industry segments and businesses in Japan including the automobile industry, Toyota Motor Corporation's (TMC) Bahrain Representative Office has announced that Toyota's progress towards production normalization is expected to start in June 2011, quicker than what was estimated previously. Initial expectations were July for Japan and August for other countries; however the recovery process has witnessed several improvements thanks to the enormous efforts put in by TMC employees and the suppliers.
"Vehicle manufacturing will gradually pick up from next month onwards in Japan and abroad, and we will continue examining our outlook to production and do everything possible to return production to normal as quickly as possible. We have also been focusing on the full back-up of supply of after-servicing parts as well. We are extremely happy to have learnt from our distributors and dealers that most of our customers have offered to wait till Toyota vehicles are available. We really appreciate our customers' loyalty and patience. We strongly believe that the vehicle supply situation will drastically improve within a couple of months", the office said.
