/24-7PressRelease/ -- New TPS, Temporary Protective Status, guidelines and procedures will be discussed on the show by Mr. Jose Tavernier an Immigration Specialist. MECCA's show interview will cover what Yele's involvement in the crisis relief has been but will also assist Wingspan's Youth Coordinators latest initiative, Hugs for Haiti.
As part of an effort to assist Haiti following the earthquake, the Federal Government has decided to grant temporary status to thousands of immigrants. Accompanying this decision will be many 'who, what, when and wheres. Jose Tavernier, immigration specialist, will assist the shows listeners with answers and resources. MECCA, along side of Franck Tavernier, the show host, will share their relief efforts and kick-off Wingspan's relief campaign, Hugs for Haiti. Following last week's show discussion targeting what can the youth do to help, the junior and senior high school students will collect teddy bears for Haitian children. The stuffed animals will give the survivors of the hurricane something warm to hold on to during the difficulties of the aftermath. Carol City High School has adopted the move.
Conflict Corner addresses youth topics and is run 'by youth for youth' with a monthly speaker and current events. The show launched in November during Global Entrepreneur week and addresses topics such as bullying, HIV/Aids and intercultural dating.
