"Consumers can be intimidated when shipping large items because it's so much more complicated than shipping parcels," says TSI President Christopher Smith. "Some want to learn more about large-item shipping while others just want to be given a price. The new site meets the needs of both."
The new site offers information on shipping options, insurance, packing techniques and materials, along with a shipping and moving blog where consumers can trade tips and experiences. Visitors who request a specific price quote are given up to three shipping options.
