Travel Thru History TV Show Wins Telly Broadcast's Silver Council's Highest Honor for Second Season

For the second year in a row, the MeTV Travel Thru History show has been recognized by the Telly Award Organization.
    ORLANDO, FL, June 20, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Telly Award Organization has awarded the Travel Thru History show a Silver Telly, their highest honor, in the category of "Outstanding Travel Programming." The Producers, Red 5 Creative and the TVS Syndication company, have also been selected for a Bronze Telly in the "Outstanding Education category as well.

"We are very excited to win a Silver Telly for this season. We've worked extremely hard to tell these city's stories, and I'm proud it's being recognized again," said Executive Producer, Joe Dorsey.

The show is about to air its third season on the MeTV network, and has expanded from featuring historical and tourist attractions in the United States to include foreign destinations.

"This is just the beginning for us. We're now teaching our audience about the history of far off travel destinations as well. We will keep the quality of the production high, and the storytelling interesting" explained the show's Director John DeMaio.

Travel Thru History is an educational show geared towards teens and families. It's syndicated in the state of Florida and broadcasts to 92% of US homes via the MeTV network, Saturdays at 9am.
