against R. Kelly while continuing to dominate the remix game.
Since the beginning of his career, Songbook/Atlantic recording artist Trey Songz has been compared to R. Kelly. It's been stated several times that he is next up as the heir to the king of R&B's throne. Though Kells continues to add the "Midas Touch" to every song he sees fit, there is no denying that Trey Songz gives him a good run for his money. MTV reported that Songz wordplay exceeds the efforts of R. Kelly who simply relies on his reputation to keep him going strong. In lieu of the recent comparison, Trey Songz will now call Monday's "Trey Songz Music Monday" as he will release new tracks whether original or remixes each week for his fans via twitter. With the coming release of "Ready" on August 4, 2009, Trey Songz may have more to prove, but clearly will not lose even when up against the King of his genre.
