/24-7PressRelease/ -- The nominees have been revealed for the 51st Annual Grammy's and Trey Songz receives his first nomination in the same year as his first BET Awards nomination
Prior to the release of "Trey Day," the sophomore album from Songbook/Atlantic Recording artist Trey Songz, Trey made it known that this album would be his arrival to the forefront of the music industry. Since then Trey has achieved his first number one single at Urban Mainstream as well as a top 10 position on Billboards Hot 100, a BET award nomination, a GAP Holiday campaign and now he is a nominee for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards for Best Male R&B Vocalist. It is safe to say that 2008 has been a very promising year for the singer/songwriter as he has set many milestones in his career.
ABOUT TREY SONGZ: In 2005, a young man with a voice far beyond his years stepped onto the scene before the world was equipped for one of his kind. With the release of "Trey Day" his sophomore release on Atlantic Records last fall, it is clear that Trey Songz is here for the long run. After much success for the single, "Can't Help But Wait," Trey received his first BET Award nomination in 2008. Just recently Trey Songz was featured in the GAP Merry Mix It Commercial for the 2008 Holiday Campaign.
