SPRINGVILLE, UT, January 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Utah-based Trivani Foundation announced today that it has expanded its humanitarian outreach to focus more of its efforts to raise further funding and global awareness where starvation and poverty have become epidemic.
"Our goal is not just to donate money and food," said Trivani Director Bob Steed, "but to also teach people critical, relevant skills to enable them to improve their economic chances." Steed said that while Trivani's long-term success has always been based on the foundation's ability to link with global humanitarian organizations to aid the world's poorest communities, this refocus of the organization will provide greater impact, particularly where children are under the greatest risk.
"This process happens in two stages: Relief and Development," Steed said. The foundation has aligned with Choice Humanitarian, Sustainable Cambodia, Asayo's Wish Foundation, Deseret International, Yehu Microfinance Bank, Koins for Kenya and Globus Relief, which—when combined—leverages resources to provide better health care, education and shelter for severely impoverished communities.
By working with these localized organizations, according to Steed, aid is more quickly disseminated to those targeted communities and individuals.
Steed highlighted a few of the key organizations Trivani Foundation is contributing to: "We have had a lot of success in not only building awareness to these causes, we have also had greater impact, specifically because we have people on the ground, delivering, building and educating."
Trivani Foundation is extending additional focus to its efforts with Choice Humanitarian (an international organization that recently named Trivani as its "Humanitarian of the Year"), to sponsor students in Kenya and Nepal.

Trivani has aligned with other organizations in order to achieve their humanitarian goals.
