TurboCare, Inc. Selects LT Technologies to Provide Advanced Compliance and Ultrapure Water System for Production Facility Expansion

Contract win underscores LT Technologies' ability to provide custom Systems for clients' specialized water treatment requirements

    E. BRIDGEWATER, MA, February 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- LT Technologies, a leading manufacturer and designer of advanced water purification, filtration and chemical treatment systems, today announced that it has been selected to provide customized water systems to TurboCare, Inc. LT Technologies will design and manufacture specialized systems that will handle multiple water processes and support 'green' initiatives in TurboCare's state-of-the-art manufacturing campus in North Carolina.

"The TurboCare team had a list qualifications and characteristics they were looking for in a water systems provider for their new facility," said Tom Belmont, CEO of LT Technologies. "They required innovation and flexibility, in-depth environmental experience, outstanding service capabilities and very solid price-performance. We're excited that after a rigorous review, TurboCare chose LT Technologies as their partner in these important projects."

TurboCare, Inc., a subsidiary of Siemens, provides engineered solutions, maintenance support and service to owners and operators of rotating equipment, including gas- and steam-powered turbines, compressors, generators and electric motors. Under the agreement, LT Technologies will design and manufacture two separate water systems for TurboCare.

The first of these projects is an innovative waste water system that will ensure that TurboCare's water usage and handling processes remain in compliance with all relevant environmental statutes and regulations. This system will utilize an innovative process that allows for future water recycling. Chemical innovations utilizing low molecular weight coagulants minimize TDS additions, and design parameters allow for future recycling of process waters through either mechanical or ionic filtration. This design flexibility gives TurboCare the option in a water-challenged environment to recycle and reuse large amounts of its critical process waters.

The second system LT Technologies is developing for TurboCare is an innovative high-purity, reverse osmosis system that uses ultra-low pressure membranes to save energy and extend system life. Its innovative design includes duplexed banks of membranes allowing redundancy for the critical application environments TurboCare serves. It also minimizes down time and allows for flexible servicing. Other system features include modularized UV disinfection, pre-treatment and distribution in a single skidded package to minimize footprint.

LT Technologies' ability to combine technologies to meet customers' space restrictions is compelling differentiator that had been central to the company's success. The Flexx system platform gives the client the maximum value and works to minimize waste in design and construction, a hallmark of the company's manufacturing philosophy.
