SANDY, UT, October 21, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Turning Point Centers, a residential mental health, drug and alcohol rehab center in Utah, has opened its newest facility at 10658 S. Dimple Dell Road in Sandy. The 14,000-square-foot facility sits on five and a half acres and has 12 beds.

In addition to the Dimple Dell property, Turning Point Centers has a facility at 616 E. 11000 S. in Sandy (this facility accommodates four clients in private rooms) and an intensive outpatient clinic at 11175 S. State Street, Building 12A in Sandy. Clients from the 616 E. 11000 S. facility use the Dimple Dell property for their daily activities.

According to Turning Point Centers Co-Founder and CEO Tony Dail, "My goal, since day one, has always been to give our clients hope, beginning with our initial conversation. It's really all that simple. Whether they need help with meth or heroin rehab, or alcohol addiction, all we want to do is help everyone that reaches out. Whether they ultimately come to Turning Point Centers or not, we will give them our undivided attention. That's what they deserve."

Turning Point opened its first facility in August 2007. Dail said, "We are a non-12-step, true dual-diagnosis facility. Dual diagnosis is used when someone has both a mental disorder and an alcohol or drug problem. Usually, alcohol and drug problems occur with depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia or personality disorders. With dual diagnosis, we get our client to go for a period of time without using drugs or alcohol (also known as detoxification). The next step involves rehabilitation for the substance abuse problem and treatment for the mental disorder. This rehabilitation could include medicine, support groups and talk therapy."

Dail said that Turning Point clients receive four one-on-one therapy sessions each week, three with their primary therapist and one with a doctor. "That's unheard of in our industry," he said.

Turning Point provides art, drumming, ropes course and recreational therapy (Turning Point's property includes a barn and arena currently being developed for equine therapy next spring). There is also a gym and a racquetball/basketball court on site.

Turning Point opened its doors in 2007, and treats patients from across the country and from all walks of life. When it comes to mental health and addiction recovery, it's never too late. If you or someone you know is suffering from drug and alcohol addiction, Turning Point can help. Please visit turningpointcenters.com for more information, or call 888-567-HEAL (4325).
