Mooney will be making his third attempt to row from Africa to Brooklyn early next year. Mooney will kick-off this campaign with his boat at the Gateway Marina, 3260 Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday, November 28 @ 1:00 pm.
Prior to Victor's row, he'll visit South Africa, Botswana, Angola, Nigeria, Ghana and Senegal to promote HIV testing and prevention. Mooney's ground logistics in Africa is being supported by U.S. Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief Office. Mooney will also partner with local health officials, non-governmental organizations and sponsors.

Promote reading for life
Make math & science fun
Lower the high school dropout rate
Encourage the youth to never give up
Enhanced HIV/AIDS school curriculum
The budget for this project is $50,000. All funds raised over this amount will be donated to charity. Mooney has received support from WHO, UNAIDS, PEPFAR, CDC, NYC DOHMH and numerous national & local AIDS organizations.
