Coffin have been selected by their peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2012 (Copyright 2011 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, S.C.) in the areas of Environmental Law and Litigation - Environmental. In addition, Barg is also named the "San Francisco Best Lawyers Environmental Law Lawyer of the Year."

Barg, a founding partner of the firm, has had an active criminal and civil trial practice for more than 35 years. He has tried to verdict more than 100 civil and criminal cases, including many environmental cases involving toxic tort, cost recovery, the Clean Water Act, Superfund sites and environmental insurance coverage. Barg has also litigated numerous non-environmental matters before both federal and state courts. He earned his J.D. from Golden Gate University and his B.A. from San Jose State University. Barg has been included in The Best Lawyers in America annually since 2008.
Coffin, also a firm founder, defends environmental enforcement and toxic tort lawsuits and Proposition 65 claims, as well as prosecuting insurance coverage claims on behalf of policyholders. Coffin earned his J.D. from Stanford University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Iowa. Coffin was named "San Francisco Best Lawyers Environmental Law Lawyer of the Year" in 2010. He has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America annually since 2008.
