    SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, October 17, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- UKAUS Pty were concerned by findings published by the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), which annually conducts over 200,000 interviews across more than 70 economies worldwide. It found 8.7 per cent of Australians aged 18-24 were involved in setting up or owning a new business. This compared to 13.5 per cent of US citizens of the same age. UKAUS Pty were astounded by the findings and believes the lack of emphasis in the Australian curriculum supporting young entrepreneurs is the main contributor to the low figure. The research showed that the figures for all other age ranges were in line with US statistics and UKAUS Pty feels the Australian government needs to invest in the education and support for young Australian entrepreneurs.
