/24-7PressRelease/ - AMMAN, JORDAN, May 26, 2007 - INJAZ Al-Arab formally announced today the award-winning students who have arrived in Jordan four days ago to compete in the final round of the "Student Company" regional Award. The students were awarded for the categories of "Best CEO", "Best TV Commercial" and "Company of the Year". Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah graced the award ceremony with her presence and commended the student's efforts in addition to presenting the award to the award-winning "Company of the Year".
The "Company of the Year". Award was given to a student team from Palestine, and the "Best CEO" award was given to Wa'ed Al Taweel a student also from the student team of Palestine, while the "Best TV Commercial" award was given to a student team from Egypt.
The competing students' experience, while lodging at King's Academy was a collection of team-building exercises, mind-easing exercises, and tense presentations to the panel of judges, chaired by Mr. Marwan Juma; the CEO of Xpress.
Earlier that day, INJAZ Al-Arab Regional Board of Directors were introduced to Her Majesty the Queen, where they elaborated on the plans, strategies, and the programs that INJAZ Al-Arab is currently implementing in addition to those that are to be developed in the future.
The official announcement of the Regional Board of Directors and unveiling of it's members took place at a press conference that followed the award ceremony where they each shared their mutual commitment to their positions as leaders of the growth of this important regional private sector movement and their roles in setting the direction for more than 140 CEOS serving on the INJAZ country set. The Board of Directors and it's members will actively employ their plethora of contacts and networks to open new doors in the Arab World for its youth.
The new Regional Board of Directors includes a dynamic group of Private Sector and Business Leaders representing Multinational Companies, Regional Arab Companies and Individuals from around the Arab region who namely are: Mr. Fadi Ghandour - CEO of Aramex, Shaikh Khaled Bin Zayed Al Nahyan - Chairman of Bin Zayed Group, Mr. Omar Al Ghanid - CEO of Al Ghanim Industries, Mr. Bader Al Kharafi - Managing Director of Gulf Cable and Electrical Industries, Mr. Bruno Daher - Managing Director of Middle East/India Subcontinent Credit Suisse, Mr. Michel Accad - Assistant CEO of Arab Bank, HE Mohammed Al Shroogi - Head of Corporate and Investment Banking of Citigroup in the Middle East, Mr. Dave Robinson - Regional Director of the MENA region at Hill & Knowlton, Joubrain Ouechec - Commercial Director MENA/Regional Director of Degremont Suez, Ms. Rania Atallah, and Mr. Gorden Graylish - VIP Europe, Africa, MENA of Intel.

To date, INJAZ al-Arab's programs have touched the lives of 290,000 young people. While a great success, it's not enough, especially with the challenges facing the youth of the region today. Thus we are thrilled to be part of the founding Board and will work to ensure that we have more active private sector support, to use our combined success and resources and introduce new INJAZ Al- Arab programs to fuel a new generation of youth," said H.E. Ms Salti also challenged the media to use their power to fuel the momentum of the INJAZ movement, to help to tell its story to business leaders, students, educators and potential volunteers across the region.
