    /24-7PressRelease/ - January 30, 2008 - Unicorn Ventures, the Lisbon based private equity firm, is known for its close monitoring of the worlds emerging markets, and recent rumours have implied that the company was seeking a strategic partner for a management buyout of a large undisclosed Latvian IT and telecoms company.

And, while Unicorn Ventures has no official plans to establish an office in Latvia or set aside regional allocation, the group has said that it would look at individual deals in the area on merit.

Supporting this sentiment, and possibly fuelling the rumours, is a report of a recent statement by an Unicorn Ventures spokesman in which he apparently said that all the companyâ s funds were global. He reportedly went on to say that Unicorn Ventures did not have a specific sector or regional allocation and that they would consider investing in any region that had potential value.
