/24-7PressRelease/ - AUSTIN, TX, February 21, 2008 - Uplogix, the leading provider of next-generation secure remote management (SRM) solutions, today announced it has strengthened its sales and marketing team with the addition of three new executives to accelerate global expansion programs and meet customer demand. Added to the team are Marc Caponegro, vice president of sales; Gerry Anderson, director of marketing; and Mike Raab, director of channel sales.
"Each executive brings to the team deep knowledge and a wide range of industry experience that will help more customers address the cost, complexity and risk of managing remote IT infrastructure," said Mark Piening, vice president of marketing, Uplogix. "Customers continue displacing legacy remote management tools with our integrated platform, and these experienced leaders bring best practice solutions and programs to find more customers burdened with remote management cost so they too can enjoy the benefits of a better approach."
Mr. Caponegro has built a successful executive career growing revenues and reducing costs in start-up and established companies in industries ranging across high tech, healthcare, telecommunications and federal markets. Prior to joining Uplogix, he served as vice president of sales and business development for leading systems integrator Entente, was the vice president of federal sales for NetBotz, Inc., and has served as president & CEO of Marquis Technology Associates. In his new role he leads a team across US-East and Federal sales.
Mr. Anderson brings over 20 years of experience in marketing and strategic communications campaigns. With his marketing and technology background he has helped build world-class brands and create category leadership for leading business-to-business and consumer offerings for companies like Intel, Advanced Micro Devices, and fortune 100 clients while at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising. With Uplogix he will be responsible for creating and driving strategic marketing plans, marketing communications strategies and comprehensive marketing campaigns.
Mr. Raab brings deep high tech channel and partner management experience on both the vendor and channel side. He has served in partner and channel leadership roles at both startup and large technology vendors, including Compaq during its explosive growth in the 90s with the channel. Since then, his experiences include channel development roles at Network Associates, Tivoli, Microsoft and Credant, where he had a focus on computer security and network and systems management. With Uplogix, he will leverage his experiences to build out the company's indirect VAR channel for wide geographic and vertical expansion.
