UPS Launches Peak Season Air Service at SBD International Airport

UPS will operate four flights per week using 757 aircraft from the Southern California SBD airport to Louisville, Kentucky in December 2016.

    SAN BERNARDINO, CA, November 16, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) has entered into an agreement with UPS to add flight operations within the Inland Empire in support of the peak holiday season. UPS will operate four flights per week using 757 aircraft from SBD to Louisville, Kentucky, in December 2016.

"This is our busiest time of year, and with the huge spike in holiday shipments, we need additional capacity to deliver for our customers. The flights from SBD will fly directly to Worldport, our main air hub in Louisville, connecting the Inland Empire to UPS's worldwide network," Tom Cuce, president of UPS's South California District said. UPS expects to deliver more than 700 million packages globally between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve, a 14 percent increase over 2015.
