/24-7PressRelease/ - June 08, 2008 - www.PokerEcheck.com is excited to announce a release of new information regarding us poker sites, us poker deposit options and us poker law.

It is widely believed that online poker rooms are no longer accepting US players. While many large poker rooms left the US online poker market like Party Poker and Paradise Poker, many legitimate and reputable sites remained and are eager to serve US customers. These rooms offer great software, game selection, deposit options and customer service. Learn more about us poker sites at www.PokerEcheck.com

After the passage of the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act), many of the largest online poker rooms left the US market, because of fiduciary responsibilities to their shareholders. Because of this, it is commonly misconceived that the UIGEA made playing online poker in the US illegal. While the name certainly suggests this would be the case, there is no provision in the act that addresses playing poker or any players that might do so. This act was directly aimed at financial institutions and poker rooms to make it more difficult for US players to deposit and thus cut off the ability for US players to play for real money. Keep in mind there are some state laws that specifically prohibit US players within those states from playing online poker or at online casinos. However, there is no federal law that addresses US players or makes any such prevention. Learn more about us poker law at www.PokerEcheck.com.

Because of this law, it has been increasingly difficult to deposit onto online poker rooms for US players. In most cases, US players can no longer simply deposit using a major credit card. However, there are simplified methods that have come to the US poker market to make it easier to deposit onto online poker rooms, such as Poker Echecks. Poker Echecks work the same as a paper check except it is electronic. They are fast, easy and secure to use. Poker Echecks carry many of the same protections of paper checks but are as fast as a credit card deposit. Find out more about Poker Echecks and other us poker deposit options at www.PokerEcheck.com
