/24-7PressRelease/ -- Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) is pleased to announce the list of distinguished and influential designers showcasing their collections between November 2 and 6, 2011. Hailing from all over the world, over 50 designers will be gracing VFW's runways with fresh looks for spring/summer 2012.
Confirmed Designers Appearing at VFW:
To launch VFW, Montreal-based Joseph Ribkoff will showcase its line, followed by Papillon, Kings & Paupers, and Valerio Moda. VFW will present up-and-coming fashion design students Wilber Tellez, Nicole Barron, Brittany Wacher, Byron Abad, Mattea Goldstein, and Laurie Jacouty, from LaSalle College International Vancouver. The VFW schedule will also feature, in order of appearance, Lisa McLeod, Parisa Jamshidian, Mackenzie Jones, Nicole Courchaine, Janine Desjardins, Kam & Lee, Parade by Cailin Banks, Peter Nguyen, Temna Fialka, mortar & pestle apparel, AngelEye, Di Designs, D.W, Shilmel Zagvar, Farida Lalji, Eva Chen, Trues Boutique, Lauren Elaine, By The Beach, jardin by Bharbara Renault, Misuabarbe by Misu Kim, Belinda Liu, Hachung Lee, k.hendrix, Rana, Maria Peligro, Claire O'Connor, Sadaf Tahvildarzadeh, Jungeun Lee, Rimi Nayak, GooRoo Mini, H.X, Naomi Yamamoto, Paula Kunstmann, MALAB, BohoBoco, Clara Gonzalez, TOMAOTOMO by Tomasz Olejniczak, Rajat Tangri, Callisti, and MOON Berlin as the VFW finale.
About Vancouver Fashion Week:
Founded by producer Jamal Abdourahman, Vancouver Fashion Week has been worldwide renowned since its launch in 2001. Taking place bi-annually during spring and fall, the week focuses on celebrating both local and international designers, and emerging talent. VFW has grown to showcase fashion designers from around the globe, and international media coverage including Le Monde, The Guardian, Elle Canada, Flare and Sina. 2010 attendees included Hollywood stars, such as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, as well as Canadian music giants Sam Roberts and Alanis Morrisette.
In April 2011, Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson proclaimed VFW Vancouver's official fashion week.
