Vendor's Ability to Partner with Providers Key to Alarm Management Success

KLAS looks at the shifting Alarm Management segment

Although the alarm management segment has been around for a long time, the incorporation of additional alarm sources is creating a shift in the market. Some vendors are simply ahead of the curve.

OREM, UT, October 14, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Connexall is the early leader in both performance and market share as alarm management vendors expand their focus beyond nurse call to incorporate additional data sources (i.e. patient monitors, ventilators, etc.) This and other findings are shared in the latest KLAS report on alarm management.

"Although the alarm management segment has been around for a long time, the incorporation of additional alarm sources is creating a shift in the market," said report author Paul Hess. "Some vendors are simply ahead of the curve when compared to their peers."

For the report, KLAS interviewed 55 early adopter provider organizations to get feedback about their alarm management successes and failures and which vendors are best supporting their efforts. The vendors included in the report are: Cardiopulmonary Corp, Cerner, Connexall, Extension, Philips (Emergin), and Spok (Amcom).

The report, entitled "Alarm Management 2014: Early Efforts to Tame Alarms" published earlier today.
