Venture Greenhouse Accelerator Applications due May 22nd

The Accelerator program starts June 10, 2015! Entrepreneurs need to submit their applications to get their start-up launched and funded!

SAN RAFAEL, CA, May 13, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Venture Greenhouse (VG) in Marin County invites entrepreneurs from the Greater San Francisco Bay Area to apply to its next cohort at http://www.f6s.com/venturegreenhouseapplication2015 by or before May 22nd. Only 12 candidate start-ups will be accepted, so apply now!

Follow in the footsteps of successful entrepreneurs and past VG graduates such as Christopher Borders, Co-Founder and CEO of NowArchive: "Venture Greenhouse is cutting a new path for accelerators and greatly benefited NowArchive. The weekly meetings were like boot camps - exhausting and ego-bruising, but also forging bonds and lasting education. Founders can never know everything they need to know, so access to the experienced VG instructors and mentors was essential to both seeing the mountain of challenges that remained and believing that it could be scaled".

VG accelerator program guides start-ups through a rigorous 6-month curriculum designed to deepen an entrepreneur's knowledge of their own business, increase confidence about its potential, and ready the company for funding and growth. VG works with scalable start-ups from all industries that will have a disruptive social impact.

"Many of the Venture Greenhouse clients are seasoned entrepreneurs." says VG Executive Director, Lisa Tamayo-Kennedy, a successful entrepreneur and investor herself. "We exist in the North Bay for people who are passionate about their early stage companies and who understand that every start-up needs guidance and mentoring to succeed. We dive immediately into the value proposition of each company to ensure the core assumptions are in place, we then help the team strategize, analyze, and finally plan their road map of growth."

The program begins June 10th and meets every Wednesday in San Rafael for sessions until December 16th. Topics include Value Proposition Design, integrating sustainability into strategic planning, lean start-up, financial planning, funding models, marketing strategies and planning, and presentation workshops where the founders hone their investor pitch. Experts lead the education sessions and mentors work one-on-one with founders both in the sessions and separately throughout the six months.

"We live in a county and region with such an abundance of talent yet very few possess all the skill sets to successfully launch a start up", says VG Co-Founder, Stuart Corvin. "Our clients have the opportunity to test-drive their vision and hear feedback from a range of business perspectives and experience. Success at Venture Greenhouse happens when talented, hardworking clients integrate their business plan and execution with subject matter experts in all things relating to start-ups."

SolEd Benefit Corp, CEO and VG graduate, David Kunhardt agrees, "We have greatly benefitted from the Venture Greenhouse program, the cohort companies and course discipline. It has helped refine our presentation skills and prepare us to win new business"

Applicants are invited to check out program details at http://venturegreenhouse.biz/program/overview before May 22, 2015.
