/24-7PressRelease/ - FORT WASHINGTON, MD, September 19, 2008 - Famed attorney Lloyd Zane Remick is one of the music industry most recognizable names. Having represented some of the most well-known personalities of our time including the late Grover Washington, Jr., Bunny Sigler, Pieces of a Dream, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Bishop David G. Evans and countless others, his law practice, based in Philadelphia, focuses on entertainment, sports, hospitality and communications law. He also heads Zane Management, a full-service marketing and management firm. Remick has just added the title "label co-owner" to his burgeoning list of duties as he and friend and client, Bunny Sigler, have just established Bun-Z Music & Records, LLC. The first release out of the gate for the new label is Sigler's inspirational debut, "The Lord's Prayer" which released in August.
"When Bunny and I were discussing the idea of a gospel project, we realized that we wanted to be the captains of our own ship, the masters of our fate," Remick explains about the concept for the label. "If there was ever a right time in the music industry to set up a quality, but controlled environment to put out of our records - with our marketing and promotions experience, the Internet and the organic distribution of CDs - it was now," says Lloyd.
With 80 years of entertainment between them and a 35-year partnership, it's no surprise that both have experienced major successes in the industry. Sigler, known for writing his like "Instant Funk's "I Got My Mind Made Up", Patti Labelle's "Somebody Loves You Baby", The Whispers' "Bingo", Jackie Moore's "Sweet Charlie Babe" and The O'Jays "Sunshine" and an integral part of Gamble & Huff's Philadelphia Sound, Sigler has amassed sales - as an artist, songwriter and producer - of over 35 million units.
Recognized locally and nationally, Remick was voted "one of the best, brightest, wiliest, winningest, most tenacious and efficacious attorneys" as well as "Best Entertainment and Sports Attorney in Philadelphia" by Philadelphia Magazine in 1999, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. He's also listed in the 2007 edition of "Best Lawyers in America", in the Who's Who in American Law and the Who's Who of American Poetry. He received his B.S. from Wharton School, his J.D. from Temple University and an LLM in tax law from Villanova School of Law. As a professor, he teaches entertainment and sports law at Temple University School of Law and "The Legal Aspects of Hospitality and Tourism" at the Temple University School of Hospitality and Tourism.
