OTTAWA, ONTARIO, CANADA, August 10, 2012 /Worldwide Who's Who/ -- Victoria E. Collins, Senior Instructor and Owner of the Monart Art School of Ottawa, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in art education.

Ms. Collins always loved working with children. In Columbia, she taught drawing and art history in a high school for 5 years. She now has two children of her own and after 17 years at home she decided to open a Monart Art School. This is the only MONART school in Canada that teaches children fine art drawing skills using the MONART method, which emphasizes and uses the five elements of shapes. With 20 years of professional experience, she is an expert in drawing and painting realistic forms and teaches these skills to children ages 4-11, teenagers, and adults. In addition, the Ottawa school partners with the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto to bring their high quality program to Ottawa.

Ms. Collins is involved with schools and children. A firm believer in the importance of all arts for children's development, she strives to make others aware that dance, music and art are essential parts of education. She hopes to show other artists how pure children's art is by partnering with large companies in the community to hold children-themed contests.

Ms. Collins received a Master's Degree in fine arts from Escuela de Artes y Oficios in Madrid, Spain in 1982. She is licensed by MONART to teach drawing to children, teens and adult beginners. Keeping current with her profession, she maintains close associations with the art community. For her painting work, she received a First Prize for a painting in Casein (milk-based) paint in 2007. Apart from her career, Ms. Collins enjoys knitting, stitching and travelling.
