Viking Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America to be key exhibitor at the Donnie Smith Invitational Bike Show
/24-7PressRelease/ - MINNEAPOLIS, MN, March 18, 2007 - Building on the great success of last year's display at the Donnie Smith Invitational Bike Show, the Viking Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America has been asked by promoters to return for a repeat performance at the Saint Paul Rivercentre March twenty-fourth and twenty-fifth.
"Our new location down in the main floor of the display room really illustrates the great feedback that the show's promoters received about the love of old bikes by the custom bike crowd," said Viking board member Sean O'Neil. "Our awesome display of antique bobbers and choppers drives home the point to the general public that people have been customizing bikes for a good long time."
"On the thirteenth and fourteenth of April, we'll be appearing at the Aldrich Arena for the MidAmerica Auctions," said O'Neil. "This year the Arena will have over 150 vintage and special interest motorcycles going on the block, including several from famous private collections."
"The Aldrich Arena event is an auction being held by our sponsor, MidAmerica Auctions. We help them out by pushing bikes up to the block. Those really old, really expensive bikes have a lot of tricky levers, wheel-stands and center stands. Volunteers from the Viking Chapter are invaluable to that auction to make sure that those really expensive rides don't get dropped."
"The big event for antique motorcycle addicts in 2007, will be the Viking Chapter's meet at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds June fifteenth and sixteenth. We are going to have over 100 bikes on display, covering models from all around the world and all across the twentieth century. The feature attraction at that event will be the return of the Wall of Death to the Fairgrounds. Some visitors may remember the 1927 Indian Scout being raced around a great wooden barrel from visiting the State Fair years ago."
