Viking Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America to display at Cycle World Show
/24-7PressRelease/ - MINNEAPOLIS, MN, January 19, 2007 - The Viking Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America has a very active calendar for 2007. "Our next big event is our display at the Cycle World Show, February second through the fourth at the Minneapolis Convention Center," said Viking president Dave Moot. "As the title suggests, this will be a huge event with cyclists attending from all over the world."
Some of the 13 antique motorcycles expected to be on display at the Viking Chapter booth include a 1962 Harley Police Servi-Car, 1950 Ariel Square Four, a 1956 Sunbeam and a 1947 Indian Chief. "To be classified an antique," said Moot, "a bike must be at least 35 years old. It does not have to be in perfect condition, and that is where we focus a lot of our attention - getting parts to restore these incredible machines. Sharing information and swapping tales about our latest acquisitions can be really exhilarating."
To get ready for other upcoming events such as the Donnie Smith Bike Show and their National Meet at Minnesota Fairgrounds, the next general meeting of the Viking Chapter will focus on preparations. "All antique motorcycle enthusiasts are invited to attend our general membership meetings," said Moot. "We encourage anyone who has ever thought of joining the Antique Motorcycle Club of America to meet with us and become involved in this truly historic event."
