Having more than 30 years of professional nursing experience and 20 years in academia, Ms. Hart-Kepler excels in teaching and practicing family and general medicine. Her responsibilities include teaching Advanced Pharmacology, Health Assessment, and Standardized Procedures, and providing community healthcare services, including mentoring students, as an Advanced Practice Nurse.

Ms. Hart-Kepler stays current with the trends in her profession by reading industry-related journals and enrolling in continuing education courses. She intends to complete her terminal nursing degree to serve as a fully-prepared faculty to address the nursing shortage and do clinical research.

Ms. Hart-Kepler, a Registered Nurse and Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, earned her Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1987, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Los Angeles in 1980, and an Associate Arts Degree from Pasadena City College in 1976. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in Nursing studying Decision-Making about Diabetes Type 2 Self-Care in Recent Mexican Immigrants. She contributes her time to various homeless and underprivileged communities, and is active in family and church-related interests.
