Visual artists find new online channel for their work in the Galleria at the TheBigLoop

/24-7PressRelease/ - SAN DIEGO, CA, March 15, 2006 - The Galleria at TheBigLoop continues to establish itself as a popular online channel for visual arts expression with the launching of the virtual show by Southern California artist Cipriano Pozos. Titled "Cipriano", this retrospective consists of 15 original oils that touch on the painter's favorite subjects: portraiture, cultural heritage, and nature. His work, influenced by his own life experiences and background, shows a keen sense of humor and an acute perception of the immediate realities of his subjects. Cipriano's technique and powerful palette were developed outside of the mainstream, without any formal training as a painter.

The Galleria at TheBigLoop was created to showcase the work of a variety of talented artists who have shown a long-time dedication to their work but have been unable to get wide exposure and recognition.

"I was impressed by the relevance and quality of the work of some artists that remained hidden from the general public and the established galleries. So I approached Carlos Figueroa at TheBigLoop with the idea of a virtual showcase and that's how the Galleria at TheBigLoop came into being. It was conceived as an instrument to further the artistic growth of these individuals and to give them the wider audience exposure they seem to be lacking." says Holly Pickerel, co-founder of the Galleria. "To have an online show in the Galleria is a step in these artists' journey and we want the public to share in it."

The Galleria at TheBigLoop went live on September 2005 with "Lost in South Park", a mixed-media show by Robert Gray. This standing show features a collection of abstract oil paintings and photographs depicting the artist's intense and slightly nightmarish vision of urban life.
